ASRA RESIDENT
SECTION
The ASRA Resident Section was founded
in 1995:
- to encourage resident interest in regional
anesthesia and pain medicine, and to encourage continued
membership involvement in residency and beyond;
- to inform residents of the purpose of
the ASRA in promoting research and education in regional
anesthesia for surgery, obstetrics and pain control;
- to participate in resident education
regarding the practice and current issues of regional
anesthesia and pain medicine;
- to encourage residents to gain experience
in organized medical societies, thereby promoting their
development as future leaders.
The quarterly ASRA Newsletter includes a
Resident Forum. Anyone wishing to contribute an article
for the Newsletter should contact the newsletter editor,
Ellen W. K. Carlson, MD at ecarlson@bidmc.harvard.edu.
