I would personally like to thank every one who attended the 2009 ASRA Pain Meeting and Workshops in San Antonio. This year the number of attendees for the meeting was almost 900! 

The meeting featured several great learning opportunities including the ultrasound vs. fluoroscopy for chronic pain management discussions. Many of the ultrasound of chronic pain workshops were sold out, we added sessions to accommodate the growing interest ASRA’s pioneering ultrasound for chronic pain, unfortunately we could not accommodate each and every one of you.

To that end and to provide alternate opportunities for our members to learn, we created satellite Chronic Pain workshops.  I would recommend that you consider attending these new PAIN-SPECIFIC ultrasound workshops (May 15-16 in Chicago, and September 11-12 in Cleveland).

For those ASRA members who could not attend this great education event, selected abstract presentations have been summarized by the authors.  I encourage each of you to view the live abstract interviews -a new feature of this year’s meeting.
