- Review the pathophysiology of neuropathic pain and the maladaptive changes that initiate and maintain pain
- Discuss some of the controversies associated with the use of opioids for neuropathic pain
- Classify the difference in pain management for patients of particular subpopulations
- Incorporate the learned modalities of the legal/regulatory, special populations and treatments for neuropathic pain into practice
