- Discuss the diagnostic evaluation and management of the patient with ongoing pain after placement of an intrathecal drug delivery system
- Adopt a rational approach to choosing different drugs, drug combinations, and complex infusion protocols for intrathecal delivery

- Discuss the neurolytic techniques available for treating cancer-related and noncancer pain

MC 5: Choosing the best place to practice pain medicine: Is it the hospital or your own office?

- Discuss the most important elements to consider when establishing or relocating a pain medicine practice
- Review the current status of reimbursement for the common pain techniques and the implications of practice location (hospital-based vs. free standing clinic)
- Construct a budget for your own practice that reflects the financial impact of practice location
