Begin with pre-course eLearning before you arrive, which allows for maximum hands-on practice time with expert faculty once you are onsite.

Course curriculum includes a comprehensive suite of 10 eLearning videos. These are an integral part of the program and must be completed prior to attending the weekend course.

The mandatory video modules will take an estimated 5.50 hours to complete and cover these topics:

Basic ultrasound and needling approaches
Ultrasound physics, artifacts, pitfalls, and complications
General introduction, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks: Are they better than nerve stimulation?
Upper limb nerve block options and evidence supporting their use
Lower limb nerve blocks and ultrasound safety
Sonoanatomy and techniques for truncal and chest
Billing and documentation in different jurisdictions
Local anesthetic systemic toxicity (LAST)

Once on site, you'll spend the bulk of the time doing hands-on practice in small groups with expert faculty leaders. You'll learn about each focused area via both hands-on live model scanning and cadaver needling as well as using meat phantom needling, clinical scenarios, and anatomy stations. As you rotate through the stations, you'll be able to practice on upper limb, lower limb, and chest and trunk areas. You'll be supported by world-renowned faculty sharing their knowledge and experience in a highly interactive, small group learning environment.
