Mar 13, 2023, 09:40 AM by ASRA Pain Medicine

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Helping to End Addiction Long-term Initiative, or NIH HEAL initiative Early Phase Pain Investigation Clinical Network (EPPIC-Net) is a clinical trial network that develops and conducts phase 2 pain studies. EPPIC-Net is seeking applications for new or re-purposed drugs, biologics, or devices (IND/IDE approved or IND/IDE-ready preferred) for pain conditions that currently lack adequate treatment, including safe and effective non-addictive therapies. EPPIC-Net is open to academia, industry, and non-profits from international and foreign partners proposing non-addictive therapeutic assets for any pain condition that lacks adequate treatment.

EPPIC-Net is not a grant program. Selected applicants will not receive funds but gain access to a robust clinical trial network with expert infrastructure providing full study design, conduct, and analysis at no cost to the applicant. The asset and intellectual property remain with the asset owner.

EPPIC-Net Clinical Trials Currently Enrolling

EPPIC-Net Clinical Trial EN20-01: A 24-week Week Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of CNTX-6970 in Subjects with Moderate to Severe Knee Osteoarthritis Pain.

EPPIC-Net Clinical Trial EN21-01: A Multicenter, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study to Assess the Safety and Efficacy of 80 mg daily of NRD135S.E1 Versus Placebo in Adult and Elderly Participants with Painful Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (SERENDIPITY-1).
