CMS Issues Proposed Rule to Make Changes in Second Year of QPP

Jun 21, 2017

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a proposed rule on June 20th that would make changes in the second year of the Quality Payment Program (QPP) as required by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA). The proposed rule "aims to simplify reporting requirements and offer support for doctors and clinicians in 2018," according to CMS.

To keep our members abreast of these changes, ASRA is currently reviewing the 1,058-page document and will draft a summary. ASRA will also provide comments to CMS on issues of concern. As soon as those comments are available, we will make them available here on the ASRA Website.

A fact sheet on the proposed rule can be viewed here.

More information on QPP is available here.
