Get Involved: Apply to Be a Member of an ASRA CommitteeAug 14, 2018
ASRA is currently accepting nominations for Committee membership for terms beginning in spring 2019.
ASRA Committee membership offers an opportunity to contribute to the administration, development, and implementation of ASRA programs and services, network with your fellow colleagues, and become a leader in the Society. To serve on an ASRA Committee, you must be an active member of ASRA in good standing. All committee members are appointed by the ASRA president. Self-nominations are permitted.
To nominate yourself for a committee, complete the online form on or before September 30, 2018.
Applicants are asked to provide:
- A personal statement describing why you would like to serve on the committee
- At least one letter of recommendation
- C.V. (optional)
Please note: You may nominate yourself for no more than three (3) committees, and you will be asked to rank order your preferences on the nomination form.
ASRA has a new opportunity to get involved, and we need your help!
ASRA is seeking volunteers to serve as Meeting Mentors in conjunction with our annual meetings. Meeting Mentors will be matched with first-time meeting attendees to help them navigate the meeting program and schedule, learn about opportunities and activities, and encourage networking.
This is an important role. We find that first-time attendees who have a positive experience are more likely to return to future meetings and get involved in the organization.
Help out someone who is new to our annual meetings by serving as a Meeting Mentor. Your generosity will be very much appreciated by a new attendee!
You can express your interest in being a Meeting Mentor using the Committee form.
