Advanced Focus Assessed Transthoracic Echocardiography (FATE) Course

This advanced FATE course is intended to build upon the skillsets of clinicians who already have basic transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) training.

A focused transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) exam has been shown to be a beneficial  clinical tool for evaluating patients in the perioperative setting.  Focused TTE can be taught quickly when given adequate structure and a standardized curriculum but only a limited number of anesthesiologists have had the opportunity to learn this important skill because there are few courses available that provide basic focused TTE training and even fewer that provide advanced training.  This advanced training course will provide the opportunity for participants to learn and become certified in the advanced FATE extended views.
