The mission of the Physician Mentorship and Leadership Development Special Interest Group is to increase the pool of physician leaders interested in regional anesthesia and pain management. This group will strive to accomplish these goals through leadership training and a strong mentorship commitment that matches faculty from different institutions to foster an environment of mutually beneficial career advancement.
The goals of the ASRA Physician Mentorship and Leadership Development SIG are to:
- Increase the pool of physician leaders with an interest in regional anesthesia and pain management.
- Increase the pool of physician leaders able to represent ASRA outside of the organization
- Cultivate physician leadership skills that will assist ASRA members throughout their careers
- Attempt to standardize mentorship opportunities and cultivate relationships, increase career opportunities and provide connections that will foster academic development and promotion.
