Physicians applying for a fellowship program in regional anesthesiology/acute pain medicine must be currently enrolled in, or have completed, an accredited anesthesiology residency program. Each individual program may have additional requirements such as medical licensing. The information published here has been supplied by the individual institutions. UCLA Dept of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine

We are pleased to offer a fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine. Our fellowship offers an opportunity to gain practical guidance in peri-operative pain management and regional anesthetic techniques. There is both a clinical and academic component, as well as areas of scholarly activity. Fellows will gain mastery of ultrasound guidance in peripheral blockade, peripheral nerve catheter techniques, thoracic epidurals, and acute pain service management skills. In addition, our fellows have the unique opportunity to work as attending staff physicians for 1-2 days/week, with the added benefit of additional income if needed. Our fellows will also have the opportunity to participate in resident supervision and didactic education. Upon completion, our fellows are experts in regional anesthesia and will further their careers in either an academic or private practice setting.
