Physicians applying for a fellowship program in regional anesthesiology/acute pain medicine must be currently enrolled in, or have completed, an accredited anesthesiology residency program. Each individual program may have additional requirements such as medical licensing. The information published here has been supplied by the individual institutions. University of Washington's Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine

The University of Washington’s Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine offers 3 clinical fellowship positions in Regional Anesthesia based at UWMC and at HMC. The regional fellow will devote 60% of their effort to academic activities related to regional anesthesia, including learning advanced regional anesthesia techniques from our national and internationally known faculty experts, teaching and supervising residents, and performing clinical research. The clinical activities undertaken by the regional fellow will consist of a 40% effort working as an acting instructor in the department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine including clinical OR work and three 15 hour in-house OR call sessions per month.
