Description

Fellows are trained by multidisciplinary faculty in outpatient pain & spine clinics. Approximately 50% of time is in interventional pain management, training in fluoro and ultrasound guided procedures, and advanced skills training including SCS, DRG, PNS implants, pain pumps. Other clinical experiences include acute pain, headache & facial pain, palliative care, outpatient & inpatient pediatric pain, pain psychiatry & pain psychology, addiction medicine, and radiology. Rigorous didactics 3 to 5 days/week, weekly board prep, monthly journal clubs, evidence based medicine series, and IPM lectures and didactics by multidisciplinary faculty are also incorporated. Research requirement, infrastructure, and support staff is available to help with research. Opportunities for working with faculty on publications is provided. Events include Research Day, simulation center activity, cadaver labs, spine & nerve/plexus anatomy, suture skills training, FR & SCS/DRG courses, and mindfulness meditation.
