Fellowship directory

Physicians applying for a fellowship program in regional anesthesiology/acute pain medicine must be currently enrolled in, or have completed, an accredited anesthesiology residency program. Each individual program may have additional requirements such as medical licensing. The information published here has been supplied by the individual institutions. University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville

The department of anesthesiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville offers a one-year regional anesthesiology and acute pain management fellowship program, which focuses on comprehensive treatment of perioperative pain in patients at UF Health Jacksonville. Fellows also treat patients at the attached outpatient surgery center and at the all-new UF Health North facility.

Fellows rotate between these three locations, working individually and with residents to coordinate care and complete blocks. Fellows master both single-shot and catheter-based techniques used for upper- and lower-extremity procedures. As a Level 1 trauma center, many of our techniques are employed for fracture surgery. By the end of their training, fellows will be familiar with common orthopaedic procedures used to treat this unique patient population. A host of other techniques are employed during the one-year fellowship.
